The right tool for the job makes all the difference. There are a number of common and well-known trail tools. Most of these are fairly general-purpose, such as the Pulaski or McLeod.
There are a few DMS-designed tools in the works, and they are intentionally just a bit more niche-specific, whether designed for a specific task or designed to complement other tools.
