The DMS crew has spent years refining cost-effective solutions to oft presented problems where trails are concerned. Many of these lessons have been hard-learned through years of experience in the field. In an effort to prevent others from having to re-learn some of these same lessons we are making an effort to share some of that information here.
- The Black Hills style THAD (Trailhead Access Device), or roll-over gate is simple and inexpensive to construct and maintain. It is a fence crossing device, that along with a standard gate, provides an optimal solution to fence crossings. Proven to keep stock where they belong, provide decades of service, and is easy to use and safe for hikers, runners, and cyclists.
